Plays

I believe that storytelling is one of the best ways to educate and share experiences. For the past several years, I have had the unique opportunity to write and direct adult plays at Stoner Chapel in Adairsville, GA. Each year I create an original script featuring dialogue, stage directions, prop placement, and lighting instructions. I then cast and direct the play.

"Mary & The Lamb of God" (Dec. 2020)

This story focused on Mary and John The Disciple, immediately after the death of Jesus Christ. Through their eyes the story explored Mary's life, the meaning of the Passover, and the emotions of the disciples during the three days Christ was in the grave. Unlike other productions, this was filmed with green screen backgrounds. The film was one hour long, with a cast of 20+ young adults.

"Peter & The Son of God" (Dec. 2019)

I wrote this play after completing a detailed Biblical and Historical study of Simon Peter, one of Jesus's Twelve Disciples. The play begins just days before Old Peter's death, as he tries to convert his prison guard by sharing his life story with Jesus Christ. The play was over 1 hour long, with a cast of 23 adults.

"Faith Of Our Fathers" (Dec. 2018)

Inspired by several songs, "Faith Of Our Fathers," spoke of two modern-day generations and how life's struggles repeat themselves. The play dealt with unexpected loss, salvation, parenthood, dating, and sharing the gospel. This play was 1 hour and 15 minutes long,  featuring a cast of 17 adults.

"Herod & The King Of The Jews" (Dec. 2017)

This was my first time writing and directing a play. The play length was about 45 minutes and featured a cast of 26 adults. My story focused on the four generations of the Herod family found in the New Testament and their opposition of early Christianity. The play pulled in historical information about each Herod to further explain their motivation and fears.
